Download Wordfast (http://www.champollion.net) and try it. It is Trados compatible and will only cost you $170. | | | ncfialho (X) Local time: 20:47 German to Portuguese + ...
Hello Denis, I like Wordfast a lot (which I cant say from Trados), but unfortunately it is not that compatible like we all want it to be...for example I have a big client who sends me .ttx files and therefore I have to use Trados....I can not even use SDLX Regards, Natália *who wishes we all could work with wordfast* | | | Marc P (X) Local time: 21:47 German to English + ... Wordfast can do anything that the earlier versions of Trados can do. If you really need the features of more recent Trados versions, you will probably have to pay more than $225 for a corresponding version.
Consider also that the price of Trados has actually fallen considerably over the years, so someone who bought an older version may well have paid a lot more than the current price. This may make them feel less inclined to sell. For example, I have Trados 1.1, with dongle... See more Wordfast can do anything that the earlier versions of Trados can do. This may make them feel less inclined to sell. For example, I have Trados 1.1, with dongle and the original English manuals, and I would consider selling it, since I no longer use it. But: I paid the equivalent of $2,000 for it, in 1997. What should I ask for it?
