Translating InCopy (.incd) files?

Hi all,

Can anyone suggest a workflow to translate files from InCopy CS3?

We received .incd files from the client, which our InDesign CS3 installation doesn't recognize.
If I create an empty .INDD document, I can mount the text and further export it as .INX, but I'm sure this is not what the client wants, since my translation would inherit the (very rough) layout of my .INDD file.

Is there any way to handle the .incd files natively by any CAT tool? Or does InCopy itself have import/export funtions for this? Anything else I need to know???

Thanks a lot in advance!

/Jan
