TimeStamp Dec 11, 2009

I don't know about the other software mentioned here, but TimeStamp is free and easy to use, you can just add the icon to the system tray and start/stop the timer from there. You can also export time reports and send them to your clients.

More info: TimeStamp

one more +1 for Timestamp May 17, 2010

I use it also on normal projects to gauge the price of what I am actually selling - my time.

Not exactly. May 18, 2010

Another one for Time Stamp.

Sergei,

"To continue in the style of your logic" you will be looking for a small device called a PC where you could be using a typewriter.

Your style of logic is about the same, at least in this case.

Best,
David

Why do you need some software when you have hardware?

To continue in the style of your logic... some time you will be looking for a small free program
to check whether your PC is on.

Just because this basically works, doesn't mean it's the most effective one in this kind of situation. I personally use a time tracking software for some of the works that I do too.

It also depends on the nature of work you do. Since mine requires a number of tasks to be recorded and be used in a collaborative way with all of the other people on my team, the one I'm using works for me and for all of us.

I could not imagine just having a stopwatch and record it all.
