Looking for information/advice on what software/hardware I need to obtain in order to be able to read russian text in Kudoz questions or job descriptions. Right now the text appears encrypted on my screen.

If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer Dec 1, 2003

Go to View, point to Encoding and choose Cyryllic (Windows). Then you should see the russian text properly.

Kind regards
Jerzy

PS
This will work, if you use Windows 9x with installed language support, or Win 2k/XP with the CP 1251 activated (usually activated by default)
