How stable and bug-free is it? Jan 5

Aleksandr,

This is good news. I'd like to beta-test the new version, but would like some reassurance first as to how stable and bug-free it is. My TO3000 contains several years' worth of vital business information, and I do not want to risk this being in any way corrupted or damaged.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

How long should one wait for an email with instructions?

Yippee! I've been missing that. Now I'll be able to classify my invoices by tax type (EU, non-EU, national).
But there's no mention of a payment button on individual invoices? I guess we'll have to go on entering payments by hand

It is stable, but since it is beta-version, some problems may occur. If you want, you can keep both versions on your PC. They are compatible.

>How long should one wait for an email with instructions?

They should came immediately. I will send you instructions as a personal message.

Best regards,
Aleksandr.

Payment button Jan 5

Dear Emma,

>Now I'll be able to classify my invoices by tax type (EU, non-EU, national).

Yes, now it possible.

>But there's no mention of a payment button on individual invoices?

We are considering a possibility to add such button to TO3000. Perhaps we will add it to one of the further builds of TO3000, version 10.

Best regards,
Aleksandr.

Maybe there's a problem? I haven't received an email after filling in the form either.

Edited to add: Thank you, Aleksander, for your very prompt answer to my comments.

Edited again: The on-line form is working now and I have received the email.

Many thanks, Aleksandr, your personal message received, and the file downloaded (however, still no automated message from your server, so maybe you could check this for future beta-testers).

Job folders? Jan 5

Aleksandr Dyatlov (AIT) wrote:

If I don't use project is the client folder mandatory? Or is there any flexibility in the folders where jobs are placed? (Which I have actually suggested above.)

Folder structure for client jobs Jan 10

Dear Rob,

If you selected "Without Projects Mode" in Settings > Workflow Mode, all files will be saved under Client folder. I.e. each client will have Client Jobs folder, in which each your client job will have a separate folder.

I would like to mention that folder structure for client jobs can be customized in Settings > Advanced > Folders.

Best regards,
Aleksandr.

Customizability (is that a word?) Jan 10

But as I understand it, it allows to create the structure below the job folder?

I would prefer more flexibility, so the folder might be constructed as e.g.:

root (e.g. C:\Business)\Client_name\Due_date

The respective values would be taken from the job creation database.

Currently it is not possible to change folder structure as you requested.

Search function is long overdue... Jan 11

Klaus Lauble wrote:

1. Search functionality for searching all the jobs in the job list by keyword, project name, job name etc. (I know there is the method via setting up a Local Custom Filter, but that is too cumbersome in daily operation. What I imagine is a search screen which I invoke via Ctrl-F and just enter my search criteria.). This search function could be further extended to work across the whole database, thus enabling free text search for clients, contacts, projects, in short for all the contents of the database.

+1 for a thorough search function to find content in the entire database (including the Marketing tab for instance).

Other than that, I can't wait to try the new version!
