Hi everyone,
I have received this text to translate but unfortunately the agency is only able to deliver a scan of the document (i.e. an image).
It is plain text (originally a word file I guess) and I'd like to know if you have another idea rather than retyping it entirely. It is not long, but I'd like to know if a solution exists so as to be able to use it also for other projects.
Thanks a lot for your insight

There are many OCR software packages available for download.
I currently use ABBYY finereader for Mac, but in the past I have also used Omnipage for PC.
I believe PDF OCR X community edition will do small jobs for free, but you may also be able to find a trial version of other commercial packages that will do the job for you and not require purchase.

Why don´t you translate it from scratch in a new MS Word file?
Print out the original and just look at it when typing the translation.
