Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has ever tried extracting text from a qxd file. This is a big brochure with quite different lay out formats and I am expected to quote a prize, therefore need the word count.
I exported the file as pdf from Quarkxpress then saved the text in a new file but I doubt with this method I may be missing some texts on some tables for instance.
any suggestions, please? | | | | Natalie Poland Local time: 08:56

Hi Akıner,
If you already have a pdf, then use a good OCR, for example, FineReader.
In case you own Studio, it opens QuarkExpress export files in .xtg and .tag formats.
Best,
