Hi

With Robohelp you can create Help files and Framemaker is a DTP aplication. What do you mean with translate?
With Robohelp you can "save" projects in differents formats (PDF, FlashHelp, HtmlHelp,...).

There is also a Robohelp aplication that can generate Help files based in Framemaker files.

With almost all CAT programs (TagEditor, DVX, SDLX,...) is possible to translate Framemaker files and some Help files.

Stagger for framemaker Oct 14, 2004

For framemaker, Trados has its own tools called s-tagger.

Befre translating documents, you should prepare FM documents for trados.
To do this, first save your FM documents as MIF.
Then, open StaggerF.exe "..\Program Files\TRADOS\..\FI\FM\STaggerF.exe"
If you properly export your documents to RTF, you get tagged text directly edidable in MS Word.

After completing the translation, you would need to verify tag integrity & convert RTF files into MIF again

The S-Tagger has an extensive help file. Read throughly, and follow instructions for preparing, exporting, translating and importing back into FM your documents.

Hello,

better is to export the Mif files with S-Tagger directly to ttx format (or export to rtf, open in TagEditor and save as ttx). Then you can work with TagEditor, which provides you with some verifying functionality.

With kind regards

Hans
