I am using Word2000 for XP and I need to edit a picture with text in it. I have tried the Help feature, but I cannot click on the text in the picture. Thanks for your help. | | | Boris Kimel Israel Local time: 17:22 English to Russian + ... What kind of a picture | Apr 24, 2005 |
do you have? If it is a bitmap picture, you won't get far with Word. You'll need to copy it to a bitmap editor (e.g. Photoshop) and edit it there.
As our colleague said, you can use Photoshop. If you do not have it, you can also do it (in a less professional way) with Paint, included in all Windows. Regards and good luck. Edu.
You can configure and use an external editor (like photoshop, etc.) Alternatively, you can simply use text boxes to edit texts. To hide the original text, ensure that the boxes are solid, i.e., filled with certain background color. If your drawing toolbar is not visible (active): View -> Toolbars -> drawings h.i.h.

To be sure, just click on the picture to select it and use the right button to see if the "Ungroup" command is available (it should not e greyed). If so, activate it and your picture will show all text boxes and the image. In ordre to translate the text boxes, just click on them. Cheers Bruno Magne P.S.: the normal way to edit a Word picture is to click TWICE on it. If it's a real picutre, it will be editable. If not, the Image toolnar will pop up and you will only be able to format it. ▲ Collapse | | | Balasubramaniam L. India Local time: 19:52 Member (2006) English to Hindi + ... You mentioned that it is a graph, in which case it may have been done in Excel. If you have the data using which the graph was generated, you can redraw the graph with captions in a new language. Balasubramaniam

is to draw a textbox and place it over the text in picture, then write in that textbox. Uldis Dana Carciumaru wrote: I am using Word2000 for XP and I need to edit a picture with text in it.
