I downloaded WebBudget(a HTML word counter filtering software from www.webbudget.com)and it looked pretty good. I got a request to price a rather large website and tried out the demo version.

Now I\'m not sure if I want to pay the 89.US for the full version or look around for something better.

Does anyone here use it and recommend it or is it as buggy as I think it is?

I regularly translate HTML help documents for several of my clients which usually consist of between a few dozen to several hundred smallish HTML files. Before WebBudget, counting all those documents was an extremly time-consuming task. I highly recommend the program since it IS a real help.

So you haven\'t experienced it repeatedly freezing up? I was concerned when it gave a different word count than MSword did, and I\'m talking about straight text in both programs. I also found some of the options unstable or didn\'t quite work.

Does anyone know of an alternative program?

PractiCount & Invoice Jun 24, 2002

You can try PractiCount & Invoice 1.0.

It counts HTML, as well as other formats like

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WordPerfect and costs around 50 dollars. The free demo can be downloaded from www.practiline.com.

It\'s also helpful when you need to count headers, footers and textboxes.

All the best!
