It's not a template Apr 22, 2006

I'm afraid that in order not to overload my computer with things I'll scarcely ever need, I have not installed many templates, so I don't know.
But in Word - Insert- Object you can choose "Create New" or "Insert From File". There is, e.g., "Midi sequence" and "Wave sound", besides many other object types (even "Video clip"). When you choose "Create New", dialog box for sound recording appears. At least in Word 2003. I'm afraid I don't remember how it was in W2K.

HTH,

Uldis

I'm afraid I don't quite know what you mean by template either.

There is information on the SIL IPA fonts at this page:

http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=encore-ipa

which has a link to the Keyman input system:

Yes, SIL has been publishing their set of phonetic IPA symbol fonts since 1993. These appeared the year between my Masters and MPhil degree thesis dates, and I could have used them for both. But no, the first one had to suffcile with Cntrl V sequences in Wordperfect to generic the majority of the IPA like symbols.

The SIL fonts are very, very easy to install and use.

MS-WORD phonetic symbols Apr 26, 2006

These are to be found in the "insertion" folder / thumbnail with plenty of other alphabets.
