Now Firefox starts again a bad habit, which I believed was part of the past.
When I enter in the Google search field something like: happy birthdat
and later correct this to "happy birthday" and hit Enter, the browser restores my entry to the former faulty one. I have to click the mouse on Search to get it right.

Can I do anything to make Firefox leave my entries as they are?

Thanks for help!
Regards
Heinrich

What version of Firefox do you have? May 3, 2006

Firefox 1.5 updates itself automatically. Only about two hours ago, mine updated itself to version 1.5.0.3.
I don't have this problem myself (just checked it and made sure), so if your version is an earlier one, I should download the latest from Mozilla and maybe that will cure it.

Opera does it too, if you don't stop the current page loading before you start typing the new search query.
