Not sure this is the right forum but... Got to start somewhere... My computer gave me an unusual message, this morning. I did not transcribe the whole text, but it was informing me that the RTHDCPL.exe.... had been relocated because it was using illegally the spece reserved to windows Something about DLL Relocation of DLLuser 32... I wonder who thgis DLL user 32 is and what I should do with it if I find it in my programs... I am using an HP pc with windo... See more Not sure this is the right forum but... You're quite right, Françoise. Microsoft have issued a hotfix to solve this little problem. You can read an explanation and download the hotfix from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448 Best, Giles | |

My friend Mr.Mukundan, solved the problem for me in an elegant manner. He went to MSconfig>startup>uncheck RTHDCPL from the list. And restarted the system. The startup dialog vanished. He said it does not involve any useful feature and may be probably a dormant virus. As such no hotfix required. He also said that it is not a built-in windows feature. However, not in my 'add-remove programs' but in the windows task manager. I removed it and my tower stopped making all kinds...
