I downloaded Thunderbird recently and it's been fine except for 2 things I can't figure out how to do, despite looking in the FAQs and Help.

1. Insert a signature automatically in each new mail
(In Outlook I had various signatures, one default, and various alternatives)=

2. Mark a message as priority

Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA:-)

Hi Lia,

For the signature,
Go to (my Thunderbird is French, so the names may differ)
Tools, Account settings. There you can point to a (.txt or .html) file you will use as a signature and choose to include it automatically or not.

To mark the priority, wenn you write the message, go to
Optioons, Priority.
You can customise your toolbar so to display the Priority button.

I hope I'm clear,
Sylvain

If you have the Spanish version.... Sep 15, 2007

To enter a signature:

Herramientas/Configuración de la cuenta, select the account to which you wish to attach the signature and then select the file with "Adjuntar esta firma".

To mark the priority, when writing the message select "Opciones/Prioridad".

bests,

Ramon

Thanks ...but:-( Sep 16, 2007

I found where the signature is created (about the only place I hadn't though to look!).

However, I can create a TEXT signature but not a HTML one (the only options I have are MHTML and XML, and both come out as a huge piece of code).

I'm using Word 3000, Windows XP.

Thanks to both for your help:-)
