Quiere decir « entonces » en español mexicano popular. No sé si siga buscando la traducción, yo hallé esto porque una amiga música me preguntaba si se escribe México o Méjico, y busco un foro sobre eso, y también me sucedió algo respecto a esa canción, si habla francés le recomiendo la película « Le magnifique » en que la cantan.

This would be my translation.
I use "Coo... coo...", given that English speakers without any substantive knowledge of the Spanish language would not know that "Cucurrucucú" is the sound of a dove cooing, in Spanish.
I don't find a similar translation in English for "Ay ay ay ay ay", and I *do* think that English speakers without any substantive knowledge of the Spanish language are quite likely to be familiar with the meaning "Ay ay ay ay ay", given how widely it has ... See more This would be my translation.

I haven't sufficient knowledge of the cultures of other English speaking countries to know whether this would apply universally for all native English speakers. However, American culture is so widely dispersed through media, that I am making the presumptive leap, that "Ay ay ay ay ay" will be understood by Enlgish speakers. ("Oh oh oh oh oh" would simply sound absurd.) In any case, the song itself make clear that he is singing and wailing "Ay ay ay ay ay", and, within the context of the other lyrics, this is translation enough.
I attempt to convey the precise meaning of a text when I translate, but also its emotion, poetry, rhythm (when possible) and 'voice', without leaving out, or adding, any piece of information.
I would translate the title as: , as there is a back-and-forth, in the song, between the cooing of the dove and the singer of the song. I took the liberty of using "Little Dove" in the title, as it is used in the song, and, from my perspective, better conveys the compassion for this lost soul that the song conveys.

The other day I had this nice conversation with my brother-in-law's friend who is from the DF. He was astonished to learn that "Guadalajara" is an Arab name (Wad-al-ayara, allegedly "river of stones", to name the local river Henares, which does not have much water, but plenty of water-worn stones).
Guadalajara in Mexico is definitely one of the places I must visit in my lifetime!
