Esta parece ser una variante de los famosos correos basura nigerianos. De tanto recibirlos, ya hasta me parecen divertidos. Incluso hay un tipo en la red que se lo ha tomado con humor y está haciendo un concurso (http://www.rantsinyourpants.com/spam_scam_contest.htm) para ver quién ha acumulado la mayor cantidad de dólares prometidos a cambio de compartir generosamente su informa... Bromas aparte, lo increíble es que hay gente que cae... por ahí leí varias historias de despistados que *realmente* viajaron a Nigeria, o Costa de Marfil, o donde sea, y ahí los desplumaron como a pollos en una factoría. Triste.
Lo que me parece inquietante es que estés recibiendo este spam a través de ProZ. Hace mucho que no recibo nada anormal o sospechoso por acá... me pregunto cuál será el motivo por el que algunos miembros reciben y otros no.

David, la persona obviamente no es miembro, así que no puede usar el sistema de ProZ para mandar un mensaje a todos los miembros.
El otro motivo es que existe la posibilidad de no recibir correspondencia de gente que no sea miembro de ProZ, pero claro, eso limita las posibilidades de que alguien de afuera te contacte para un trabajo.
La sugerencia que recibí de Gianfranco fue que simplemente borrara el mensaje

¿Estás celoso o qué?
Es que me acaban de alegrar la tarde, no sé por qué, me han recordado a Faemino y Cansado..."estaba comiendo un muslito de pollo y se me quedó un huesecito aquí trabado entre los dientes y me lo saqué y ¿sabes lo que era? !Diez mil millones de pesetas!...".
De hecho su programa se titulaba "El Orgullo del Tercer Mundo".

Sol, con paciencia podría escribirle a cada uno de los miembros. En los mensajes recibidos a través de ProZ viene el IP y podemos decidir bloquearlo en nuestras opciones de correo. Pienso que la probabilidad de que te vuelva a escribir la misma persona es tan pequeña que ni siquiera eso vale la pena (sin hablar de que un IP puede corresponder a varias personas).

Es lo que haría, pero hiciste bien en preguntar si se podía hacer algo.
En todo caso, Javier, ¡acuérdate de los amigos cuando cobres!

¡El famoso cuento nigeriano!
Hace 19 años viví en Nigeria por un tiempo, y por más cuidadoso que estaba a no dejar mis "datos" por ningún lado, hasta recién sigo recibiendo cartas en el correo con el mismo cuento. Las guardo, y creo que hasta ahora son 16. Incluso tengo la primera, con fecha de agosto de 1985. El ùltimo me vino de una "princesa de la familia real." ¡¡Me fue una noticia interesante que había una familia real en un país que no es monarquía!!

Aparte de las famosas cartas, soy testigo de que la gente nigeriana es una gente encantadora. (Berni, ¿estás por ahí para que haya testigo de que la Nigeria no sólo es un país encantador, sino también su gente es una de la más amable que he conocido en mis muchos viajes.
¡Increíble el link de Thierry! Esto debe ser un negocio con resultados para algunos, o no seguiría después de más de 20 años.
