..gracias, llegué hasta Amarillo...ahí me perdí.

en español amarillo, jaune en francés, grog en valenciano, giallo en italiano.
Menos mal que en portugués sí se parece...amarelo

Lunes < Latin - Lunae [dies]
Martes < Latin - Martis [dies]
Miércoles < Latin - Mercuri [dies]
Jueves < Latin - Iovis [dies]
Viernes < Latin - Veneris [dies]
Sábado < Latin - Sabbatum
Domingo < Latin - Dominicus [dies]

Hace poco nos enseñaron que no es correcto decir «* el día lunes», ni «* el día jueves», sí es correcto decir «el día sábado». ¿Lo descubrieron solos? Lunes es «el día de la luna», el elemento día ya está incorporado por apócope de lunae y dies.

Es correcto decir «el lunes», «el jueves», etc. La excepción es la del día sábado.
