Hola,

I know I have to write in Spanish here, but my written Spanish is really bad - it would be a mixture of Portuguese and Italian with some Spanish words...

My message is for all ProZians living in Buenos Aires, I'll come to Buenos Aires on Saturday (26) and I'll stay two weeks. I would like to get to know the city ( a dream I have had for a long time) and I'll do a Spanish course, I would like to learn some Tango, too I just arranged the course and a place to stay. But I know nobody in Buenos Aires, and it would be great if some of you could get in contact with me...we could meet and perhaps you could show me Buenos Aires (I have never been there), some places to go there, would be really great!!! ). The course will be in the mornings, and I'll have all the afternoons and evenings free!

My E-Mail: kontexti@aol.com

You can answer in Spanish!!

Yo te llevo al Tortoni Mar 24, 2005

Birgit,

¿Dónde te vas a alojar?

Hola Clarise y Aurora! Mar 24, 2005

Sounds great... I'll call you up Aurora and would be great go to Café Tortoni with you Clarise....

The School reserved a place for me to stay, but I've no idea where it is (I hope they send the address to me, before I arrive... - but they'll also arrange a pick up service for me..)
The School is called Espanolalsur (it's in "Pichincha" - no idea where, I think near San Telmo).

Birgit

"Pichincha"

Listo. Estemos en contacto.

Since you understand English better than Spanish, I suggest you have a look at these sites:

www.welcomeargentina.com
(click on the English version)
www.alojargentina.com
(click on the English version, you will find information on Tango lessons and other things)
www.argentinaturistica.com
(click on the English version)
www.ompersonal.com

You may also have a look at my forum "Argentina, a paradise for bargain-seekers" in the off-topic section.

I hope you may have a change to visit the Iguazú falls, they have an incredible beauty, and maybe Bariloche (the South American Switzerland). Hotels in both these places are cheaper than in Buenos Aires and have much to offer to the tourist.

Best regards.
