Dear friends translating fron English into Spanish and vice-versa I am looking for a reliable, worth recommending ENSP web dictionary similar to http://www.granddictionnaire.com in ENFR pair. Especially I am looking it for translating texts referring to electricity and power industry subjects. Any hints? Kind regards Maciej | | | Publisher: PARANINFO. S.A. | Apr 7, 2006 |

It's not being updated anymore, due to the migration to the IATE database, which is not open to the general public, but it's still searchable. Dear Maciej Andrzejczak: I would recommend Babylon.com. It's not really a web dictionary, but a small dictionary program you can run on your computer. You can get the free trial to see if you like it, but it's so easy to use and convenient that most professional translators that come across it consider it to be really affordable ($49.50 USD) when compared to paper dictionary prices. For Spanish professionals, they offer the life-time license + the following dictionaries: Signum Spanish Thesaurus for $59.50 USD -- or -- Vox Advanced Dictionary Eng-Spa-Eng $63.50 USD After you install the full version, you can always CTRL+RightClick any word to look it up. You can also download Babylon's Eng>Spa, Spa>Eng, Eng>Spa>Eng dictionaries free of charge and tons of glossaries which were created and submitted by users. I've found Babylon to be somewhat reliable and helpful, but some glossaries have to be used with caution, since many suggested translations really do not apply to specific fields. I haven't used the VOX dictionary or the Signum Thesaurus, since my license comes with the Portuguese Michaelis dictionary, but I believe this program gives you great options and synonyms which can help you work faster and more accurately. Nevertheless, it's always highly recommended to work with it in conjunction with monolingual paper or web dictionaries just to double check some word usage issues. Hope it helps! ▲ Collapse | | | Parrot Spain Local time: 11:48 Spanish to English + ...
Ever try GlossPost? Go to the menus above and select 'Community -> GlossPost'. Use as many search parameters as you find needful, but one at a time. I already found 2 on renewable energies and 1 on nuclear energy. There are more than 7,000 links in that collection, so you're bound to find something.
