estoy a punto de comprarme Trados o Déjà Vu. He estado leyendo sobre ambos, pero quisiera saber la opinión de traductores de inglés-español que estén usando estos programas. Yo me inclino más por Déjà Vu, pero la mayoría de las agencias prefieren Trados...
Por lo que leí, Déjà Vu es compatible con Trados. O sea que si un cliente/agencia nos da archivos de Trados los podemos usar con DV? Y, ¿cómo se da cuenta una ... See more queridas y queridos todos:

¿Trados les ha causado problemas con el resto de los archivos? En definitiva, si tuvieran que elegir uno, ¿cuál elegirían?

I have both, and I prefer DV. While Trados recognizes only similar sentences, DV does this as well, but it is also capable of assembling translations from words or phrases.

Yes, some agencies require Trados for some projects. But if you have DV, you can use that for these Trados projects, and much more: after a while you will so much addicted to DV that you would use it even for the shortest and most simple translations as well. ▲ Collapse

Uso programas CAT desde 1996 y definitivamente DéjàVu es mejor que Trados.
Extraordinaria atención al cliente, manuales fáciles de entender y aplicar, bases de datos de terminología que se crean sobre la marcha (no como MultiTerm que es una pesadilla), compatibilidad total con Trados, filtros para formatos diferentes a Word, y un largo etcétera.

La única ventaja que le veo (por el momento*) a Star-Transit es que permite manejar más de una base de datos de forma simultánea en los proyectos.
