Hi, all!

On and off, I have been having a strange problem with the language bar in Windows XP.

Every once in a while, the option for "Additional icons in task bar" is grayed out. When it isn't grayed ou and I highlight text in a Word file, the text-to-speech icon appears in the bar, and clicking it launches the reading of that part of the document.

When the "Additional icons" is grayed out, the text-to-speech icon won't appear, and so I have to revert to DNS to have the document read aloud to me.

Restarting the computer hasn't made any difference.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Thanks!
Patricia
