Hello everybody,

I have just learnt that I am going to work for the subtitling company Softitler and since my next step in my application is to download and install their softwares, I was wondering if it was possible to install them on two different computers.
I live in France but I sometimes go to Italy and I wanted to be sure whether I could use both my computers in France and Italy or not to work for that company.

Thank you in advance for your answers and have a great day

Isabelle

Me too! Apr 11, 2011

Good evening,

I've just learnt I'm going to be working with them too!

Good to know there are people out there to talk to who share a same client, that might come in handy!

Cécile

Hey there!

I've just got an email from this company, telling me I passed the proficiency test and am going to work for them.
How are your experiencies with them?
Aren't their rates low?

I would be glad to hear from your experience with them

Thanks in advance

Bérengère

Oh yes, I bet they still are. Last time I heard about them, they paid 0.20 USD per subtitle (i.e. 15 Euro cents). Plus their reputation is quite bad as far as quality is concerned. Just Google them, you'll find about that.

I worked for Softitler some years ago and yes, their rates are low (23 cts per title at the time, I bet they've come down since) but they do provide good support, software, training and proofreading system. After a few months, you can start looking for other companies who pay better, but you know your job as a subtitle translator! Good for a beginner, I would say.

Hi all,

I would like to work for Softitler, translating English to Dutch and possibly French to Dutch. Does Softitler do Dutch translations?
Thanks for your help!
