Hi all,
I saw the LingQ website for chance. It advertises a new method to learn languages. I'd like to study Spanish, I began many times but always gave up.
Can anyone give me some advice or experiences about this method?
Is it really useful? Someone uses it?

Thank you
Silvia (from a very very hot North Italy)

Hello Silvia.
I think that, even though it could be an effective method, could be there are better ways and resources out there to learn languages.

Assimil Jan 16, 2011

Hi,

I can but recommend Assimil courses for anyone. They are the best.

You buy the book, CD's included and learn one lesson each day. They are so well designed that after 2 months you are able to speak the basics, and after 4-5 months you are quite good at any language they have on offer.

Of course, provided that you studied each day for one hour.

Also, if you are planning on visiting Spain for language courses, do not go to big cities, but to very small, rural and boring towns This will discourage you from speaking English - so commonly found nowadays in all +200k inhabitants cities in Spain...

Good luck!
