Hi everybody. I'm trying to improve my understanding and fluency in the Dutch language. Does anybody know any useful websites where to watch/listen video and similar material (besides TV and radio)?
Thanks!

Buy Dutch or Belgian newspapers Feb 3, 2005

In Italy, you should be able to find Dutch-language newspapers from the Netherlands and Belgium. The weekends are best because they have the most pages. Read through everything. A big help for keeping up with everyday use of the language in a wide range of topics.

audio and video Feb 3, 2005

Thanks, I already do, but now I wish to focus on aural understanding and fluency, so I was looking for some audio and video material besides TV and radio stations. On the internet I found this sort of didactic material specifically aimed at foreign languages learners (e.g. video with/without subtitling) for other languages but not for Dutch.

Get a Dutch boyfriend :O) Feb 3, 2005

Okay, not seriously. But I found that the only thing that really helped met to (re)gain fluency is having understanding people that listen patiently and correct me. Other than that the tv-channel BVN is very good but you might know it already. It's free to watch on digital sattelite 24/7. Dvd's are nice, but few have Dutch audio. There are audio books in form of cassettes and cd's, maybe that's an idea.

Good luck!

Niente ragazzo ma riconoscimento vocale Feb 3, 2005

Ciao Erica!
Brava che hai scelto l'Olandese.
Fa un po' fatica.
(Infatti per me l'italiano allora
è stato molto più facile.)

Forse hai ragione non c'è un gran che
sull'internet.
Ho trovato solo

http://www.ned.univie.ac.at/non/welkom/texte/
Università di Vienna
Per principianti 10 lezioni
Ascoltale con Real Audio Player.

Proprio oggi ho visto
http://massardo.splinder.com/
Taccuino di traduzione
Isabella Massardo conosce la lingua olandese profondamente, forse
puo aiutarti.

Hai già provato con dei software?
Seconde le mie esperienze il migliore è Tell Me More
L'ho provato con Francese ed Inglese.
È stupendo perché il riconoscimento vocale
funziona benissimo. Molto effettivo e divertente.
L'ho trovato qua in biblioteca nel mio paesino olandese.
Forse pure tu hai la possibiltà di almeno
provare se ti piace o no.

Buona fortuna!
Tanti saluti dalle campagna olandese
vicino alla frontiera tedesca dove
purtroppo non ci sono italiani.
Stefania
