Dear all,
So far I have been working as a freelance interpreter, translator and language trainer for the last years. Due to family reasons I am thinking of finding a part-time (full-time) job as a language trainer. On Friday I will be having an interview, but unfortunately have not any clue about how much I could ask.
I hope there will be any of you to help me out and give me some rough margin.
MTIA for all your valuable advice!
Best wishes from Germany

Comparison Dec 18, 2007

Hi,

perhaps you can try to find out what teachers and trainers in your field and level of education get. Then calculate an average sum.

Dear Margreet,
This is exactly what I am doing at the moment, comparing teh different hourly rates I perceive from the schools I have worked for so far:)))
Hopefully, it will work out:)))
Have a lovely Christmas!

In Germany... Dec 22, 2007

Hello! I think this might come a bit late...

First it depends on where you're working, in Berlin you will get less than in Munich or Düsseldorf. Then, it also depends on the school. The minimum you can get, as far as I know, is 11€ per hour (1 hour meaning 45 min), the maximum is probably 25€... (I am talking about language schools).
