I didn't have much time yesterday so I quickly made these screenshots on a MacBook Pro 13".
What it doesn't show, is how beautifully Transit displays tables in FrameMaker and InDesign projects. If you're interested I can make some screenshots on an iMac 27". I'll try to create the PDF for synced view too.
AFAIK Transit has the best text flow representation: text stories are ordered in the editor the same way as on paper (in the PDF). You don't have to jump back and forth between stories.

just to point out we all have different tastes. As you can see, I consider the background-colour distinction between translated and untranslated segments an advanatge whose importance is impossible to overemphasise.
I am also a bit surprised you can live without segment numbering and status columns.
