I need to know whether the latest release of STAR Transit is TMX compliant to be sure that I can work with TMs created with it in the latest release of TRADOS Freelance.

Many thanks,
Ben

Not really Apr 18, 2006

Hello.

you can create TMX files in Transit and import them to trados, but normally Transit works with reference translations. So the way back seems not possible.

You can import TMX files into Transit and use them as reference materials.

Transit importing large TMX files Jan 10, 2008

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows the size limit of tmx files (trados export) that could be opened in transit (after importing)? I couldn't find any info about this and I am getting "file too big" errors when I want to open those files.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any limits. Just recently we imported a Trados TMX with more than 100,000 translation units. Transit created multiple pairs with 15,000 segments each.
