Dear Transit users,

could anybody explain, is there any difference in Transit between fuzzy matches and partial matches? I have quite little experience with Transit, but use Trados and Wordfast. Are the matches in Transit not calculated in %?

An agency has proposed a scaling for payment which looks like: fuzzy matches x % of normal rate, partial matches x % of normal rate, pretranslated y % of the rate, and I cannot decide if these rates can be justified without knowing

Thank you for any help!

General understanding of match % in case of fuzzy or pretranslated? Feb 27, 2007

Thank you Jill

The problem is that I don't use Transit right now. The agency wants to agree with me a price list beforehand, just in case. E.g. they might get a job in Transit, pretranslate it with their Transit TM and convert it into some other format for me. Therefore they have sent me the pricing proposal described in my initial posting, however, without indicating any percentages!

I wonder, if there is a general understanding, what percentage of TM-match is meant w

I wonder, if there is a general understanding, what percentage of TM-match is meant when speaking about fuzzy or partial matches and pretranslated segments?
