but wait...it can be a lot simpler Apr 21, 2008

Get Ubuntu Linux or PCLinuxOS and do

apt-get install OmegaT at terminal
or simply open Synaptic and with a few mouse clicks it's installed.

Better yet,
Get Linguas OS or PCLOS-Trans, which both already have OmegaT as part of the default installation.

OmegaT is much different now than when the article was written, and it is not nearly so complicated to install. It is now at version 1.8.01.

RE: TTX plugin Jan 31, 2010

Hi,
I have no problems with installing OmegaT

System -> Administration -> Add/Remove Programs
In the search box: [omegat]

and installed all the three pieces of software available.

However I cannot install a TTX binary plug-in for OmegaT that I downloaded from OmegaT.org

They claim that it runs under Linux but I cannot execute it on my PC under Fedora 11.

Have you any 'fresh ideas' how this TTX binary driver could be installed?

Regards
