Hola a todos, me llamo Tania Moreno y soy nueva a proz.com. Tengo 7 años de experiencia en traducción (español-inglés y viceversa), especialmente en el área farmacéutica. Sin embargo, no tengo ninguna certificación y he escuchado que hay varias academias que brindan la opción de certificado sin cursar la licenciatura de Interprete/Traductor. No sé si alguien conozca algún buen lugar en el cuál exista esta opción ya que estoy muy interesada en obtener algún tipo de acreditación o si alguno de ustedes ya haya hecho esto.

Yo me inscrivi el dia de hoy en proz.com y tengo poca experiencia traduciendo, sin embargo conosco bien las dos lenguas en las cuales pretendo basar mis servicios. navegando por el internet me he dado cuenta de que existen muchos traductores que ofreciendo sus servicios sin ninguna certificacion ya cuentan con una gran demanda de sus servicios, ademas cuentan con un gran conocimiento de los idiomas que ofertan, por otra parte conocen muy bien las areas en las cuales traducen. ATA (american translators asociation) ofrece certificacion en diferentes partes del mundo. En mexico la direccion es rio rinh 40 col. cuauhtemoc.

Traductores con/sin certificación

Hola!
Sí, es cierto que muchos traductores que no cuentan con ningún tipo de acreditación tienen alta demanda; sin embargo, a mi me gustaría acreditarme debido a mi área de especialización, así como mi interés por ser traductora perito.
Checaré eso que mencionas de la ATA, y también te aviso que, por lo que he averiguado, parece que no se necesita tener ninguna acreditación previa; sólo se necesita ir a algunos juzgados y ahí se toma el examen para el peritaje, pero no estoy 100% segura.
