IVA en España para trabajos de corrección para editoriales

Hola a todos,
Hago trabajos de traducción para varios editoriales de libros, y sé que para obras que se van a publicar normalmente las facturas van exentas de IVA.
He hecho algunos trabajos de corrección y revisión también, y siempre había aplicado la misma regla, pero para un trabajo que acabo de hacer la editora me dice que debería incluir IVA en la factura porque para la corrección hay que incluirlo, aunque para traducciones no...
Mi interpretación de la ley no me sugiere esa distinción: en el apartado de exenciones menciona colaboradores literarios en general.
¿Alguien sabe más sobre este tema?

I'm afraid don't the actual current legal requirements, but AFAIK the exemption should include revision and correction, etc, as part of the translator's overall remit. Goodness knows it took me long enough to find out about the IVA exemption for literary and research texts in the first place after years of clients demanding either with IVA or without, depending on whatever authority they'd consulted, if any. I even got different answers depending on which Hacienda functionary I consulted about it, until I eventually found out through a regional government accountant/auditor.
My advice is normally to comply with whatever the client demands in this respect to keep them happy. However, it may be the case that you have never billed anyone for IVA, in which case you are likely worried about doing the "alta" for IVA declarations, especially if it is not a large amount. Perhaps you have rubbed this editor up the wrong way? You could always use the Missouri strategy and ask them to show you the legislation guiding their decision, but I have a feeling they will dodge the issue if they are already billing IVA for this, as most people/orgs don't like to change their modus operandi, erroneous or otherwise. Unfortunately, inertia still seems to be a guiding principle in many Spanish outfits...

Nunca he hecho correcciones editoriales, pero te doy mi opinión.
Yo traduzco libros y siempre los facturo sin IVA. Según tengo entendido, la traducción literaria está exenta de IVA por estar considerada una "obra artística" y amparada en un contrato. No sé si la corrección funciona también con contrato y aplicaría lo mismo. Yo diría que sí, y más si normalmente trabajas exenta de IVA.
Cuando alguna vez realizo una traducción técnica y facturo a una empresa fuera del mundo editorial, facturo con IVA.
Luego está el follón de tener que hacer la declaración trimestral (casi siempre "sin actividad", puesto que mis traducciones no literarias son escasas), pero que hay que hacer igualmente por si acaso algún trimestre cae algo "técnico".
Creo que lo mejor sería que preguntases a los amigos de Hacienda... aunque los traductores de libros solemos ser para ellos bichos raros y no tienen ni idea. La otra alternativa es preguntar a un gestor. No sé si eres colegiada de alguna asociación. En mi caso, como miembro de la ACEC (asociació d'escriptors de Catalunya), tengo cubierto este aspecto con un gestor que se ocupa de los asuntos de todos los colegiados.
