I once made a mistake carelessly. At that time, I met with a term "internal receptacle" and translate it into the Chinese which means "container" when translating an instruction manual. As a matter of fact, "receptacle" here is equivalent to "socket" in BrE. I've gotten a lesson from it. I'd like to practice my listening via BrE rather than AmE, for I think AmE is a bit exaggerated.
