and choose "Extract to folder..." (thats the second option of three) and the files will be extracted to the current folder- where the zip file is (new folder, named the same as zip file will be created there). Before I found this option, I also used to hunt my computer for where the Wizip has stuffed them.

Hi Kim,
you may want to know that Zip archives can contain path information, which are displayed on the far right in the main WinZip window when you open the archive - if you have set up WinZip to show this column, that is.
On occasion, depending on the way how you extract such an archive, this can lead to quite some confusion. If, for example, the person who zipped the files has included the full path from the root C: in the archive information, WinZip will use this pa... See more

you may want to know that Zip archives can contain path information, which are displayed on the far right in the main WinZip window when you open the archive - if you have set up WinZip to show this column, that is.
On occasion, depending on the way how you extract such an archive, this can lead to quite some confusion. If, for example, the person who zipped the files has included the full path from the root C: in the archive information, WinZip will use this path for the extracted files on your hard disk, unless you explicitely deactivate the relevant check box in the Unzip dialog, and will even create directories that don't yet exist.
