Hi!

I'm working with some .XML files with an XML editor. I also own Trados and I've tried to have the files analysed in order to know the wordcount but it doesn't work. It says: "Settings file invalid or not found".
Do you know any other method?

Thanks a lot!

Maria José

DTD to INI..... Aug 13, 2003

Hola Maria,

You need a DTD-file to count the xml files.

The DTD file must be converted to a INI-file (see Trados Online Help).

Ask your client for the DTD file (or the ini-file if your client is an agency).

Then in Trados go to the menu
-->Opciones
--> Opciones de la memoria de traducción
--> Herramientas
--> Archivos de configuración de DTD. Enter here the path and the name of then Ini-file and start the Analyse again...

Un saludo

Log file? Aug 13, 2003

In order to be able to analyse some files, Trados needs a log file. Have you checked that a log file is selected?

Hi Wilhelm!
Although I'm doing advanced searches in Google and TradosZone I cannot see this information.

Could you, please, explain this to me?

Thanks!

Maria José

Press F1 .... Aug 13, 2003

Hi Maria,

Go there...

-->Opciones
--> Opciones de la memoria de traducción
--> Herramientas

...and press [F1] or the Help button

- Look for "Asistente para la configuración de DTD" ...

To start this process (DTD 2 INI) you need el "Asistente para la configuración de DTD":

Open the TagEditor and goto:
->Herramientas
--> Configuración de DTD
---> Agregar ...
----->Crear una nueva conf. de DTD ...

and follow the instructions to get the INI file...

Saludos
