Hi all,
I recently responded to a search for telephonic interpreters. The agency (in the US) contacted me and offered .40 US cents per minute with no minimum.

I expressed my surprise, but the agent said that this is normal pay. He also said that most calls last 10-15 minutes. I find this riduculous, but maybe it is "normal".

Calls over my limit on my cell phone cost .40 !

I'd love to hear about experiences of others out there.

Thanks,

OTP interpreting rates Nov 15, 2003

I work for a co. that pays a little more, but cannot divulge the price or the co.

But have a look at a recent job posting:

I assume you are talking about private/direct clients, not one of the companies that provide OTP interpreting?
