Hi everybody!
I'm looking for a good DE-EN resource on SAP terminology. What do you swear by???

Thanks a billion!

In case you don't know these ones yet. They are comprehensive, but I would not swear by any of them.

There's a termbase edited by SAP Aug 29, 2008

Look for SapTerm in SAP web site.

I purchased it on-line a few months ago and received it on CD in Spain (from Germany) in a couple of days.

Some people think it could be better, but I found it useful.

Neat trick Aug 29, 2008

If you can't find a term in one of the glossaries Wolfgang provided, there's a neat trick that works sometimes. Let's say you need the English translation of Anlagenbuchhaltung.
In Google, enter Anlagenbuchhaltung site:help.sap.com
This will take you to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/de/4f/71fd71448011d189f00000e81ddfac/frameset.htm
Now change the de after helpdata to en and you will go to
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/4f/71fd71448011d189f00000e81ddfac/frameset.htm where you will find the SAP translation: Asset Accounting

TOPIC STARTER
Thanks for the ideas! Aug 29, 2008

Thanks for your ideas everybody!
I am finally getting the hang of using www.saptranslation.com which could be a little more user friendly, but hey, it's free.
Changing the de in an URL to en is a trick that has saved me quite a few times in the past. I'll try it on the SAP help site - that's a great idea. Thanks Kim!

Is it just me or is SAP enough to drive a person slightly mad?

I'm making progress, though. Slowly but surely. And learning a bit to boot.

Thanks and good luck with your projects!

Jennifer
