Hi all,

I am wondering if there is a website or perhaps a file I can download which contains English-Dutch terms of the Microsoft Windows operating systems.

I remember seeing this available on the Microsoft website a long time ago but now when I need it, I can't seem to find it back.

your help is much appreciated!

That's why I download everything I come across. Hoarding is a good habit... websites and resources go offline all the time.
As the previous post shows, the microsoft glossary is still up though.

Microsoft terminology and glossaries Dec 28, 2008

Just wanted to try to clarify the situation on Microsoft glossaries:

The file “Microsoft_Terminology_20070130” at http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/MILSGlossary.mspx is unfortunately an old file that we still have not removed. It's still valid but it no longer updated after January 2007. It should contain Dutch Windows Vista Terminology, but in term base format (i.e. canonical form). If you need to see the exact strings as they appear in the software, the online search tool at http://www.microsoft.com/language/en/us/search.mspx contains both the term base entries and the actual strings.

There's more explanation about the terminology and strings available in this blog post (sorry about the long URL): http://blogs.technet.com/microsoftterminologyforum/archive/2008/07/02/microsoft-glossary-and-terminology-database-access.aspx.

Use these glossaries cautiously! Jan 9, 2009

Recently I looked at some terms in English>>Latvian part of this file (Microsoft_Terminology_20070130.CSV), they were simply foolish innovations. Unfortunately these terms are widely used in MS Office 2007 Latvian edition, giving somewhat weird taste to Latvian language in help pages, wizards, etc. Of course, I cannot speak about other language pairs.
