Is it worth to upgrade from 5 Dec 23, 2003

I only have Acrobat 5.0. Every time the program wants me to upgrade I deny. What has version 6 to offer? Is it much slower than 5?

With 5.0 I am having trouble referencing unembedded fonts that I know exist on my system. Frustated by the troubleshooting instructions, I decided to see if 6.0 has features that solve those problems. Instead, I found that I can try 6.0 professional for 30 days free. So I downloaded it and so far I am afraid that I am impressed. I might end up going for the upgrade after the 30-day period.

For one thing, the Arabic licensed fonts on my system that cannot be embedded are substituted correctly when viewing. I also tried the pre-flight feature, which analyzes your PDF and tells you of potential problems. I was impressed by this too.

I have only downloaded it several hours ago, so I cannot tell you much more for now. Note though that this an upgrade from 5.0 standard to 6.0 pro. I do not know what new features I have are due to the 5->6 upgrade, and what are due standard->pro.
