The INTA (International Trademark Association) has compiled a trademark checklist to assist authors, writers, journalists/editors, proofreaders with proper trademark usage. It includes listing for nearly 3000 registered trademarks and service marks with their generic terms and indicates capitalization and punctuation. and then, on the left column, trademark checklist

Dos and don'ts for editors:

It authorises you to capitalise a trade mark which is written in lower case in the logo. It authorises you to refrain from adding the (TM) or (R) to every darn occurance of the trade mark in a text.

On other points it tends to be a bit unnecessarily puristic. It may also be somewhat English-specific.
