"Ausdrücke, Werkzeuge, Tätigkeiten, Hilfsmittel und Bezeichnungen in
Solinger Platt aus der Schneidwaren-Industrie
gesammelt und erklärt von August Scheidtmann"

The above is the description of a glossary I found today while researching a term. It was very helpful to me, which is why I thought I would pass it on.

I am a bit reluctant to admit it, but as I have become an infrequent visitor to ProZ of late, I am unfamiliar with many of the "prescribed procedures" and simply did not have the time today to try and figure out how to use GlossPost (what is a URL?). Instead, I chose to post the link in this forum and hope doing so doesn't cause any offense!

Hi Beth,
(what is a URL?)

Uniform Resource Locator - you called it a link: same concept, different term.

Aaaah, Jun 2, 2004

you mean "kNife" glossary.

I was curious, actually, what "kife" might be. I thought, some new technology or so.

Interesting link, indeed.

Thank you
Steffen

sorry for the mistakes Jun 3, 2004

Thanks, Ralf, for explaining URL. And thanks to Andrea for fixing the typo, I really should not let myself get in such a hurry!
Steffen, I'm glad my mistake piqued your curiosity, I too thought it is an interesting site worth sharing. I was searching for "Lochabfall", in my case related to piercing on a press, and this put me on the right track straight away.
Best regards to all, Beth
