Anything better than Oxford Superlex

I have used Oxford Superlex a lot in the past, mainly for FR > EN translations, but also for DE > EN on occasion. Our work stations have just been updated to fast machines with XP Pro and it seems like an opportune moment to install something a bit more modern. A search of Amazon has not revealed anything very promising and I was wondering whether anyone could point me in the direction of a good software bi-lingual (or tri-lingual) general dictionary.

For RU > EN I use ABBYY Lingvo 8.0 for RU > EN and find it much better than the Oxford Superlex.

Any ideas?

I don't know about Superlex, but I guess iFinger version of Oxford Dictionaries is something similar. Have a look at www.ifinger.com It works great with Windows 98 and XP.

There are many dictionaries you can use with iFinger.

Oxford Dictionary of English (Second Edition)
New Oxford Theasurus of English
New Oxford American Dictionary
Canadian Oxford Dictionary
Australian Oxford Dictionary
Oxford World Encyclopedia
Oxford Dictionary of Quotations
Concise Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary
Concise Oxford-Duden Dictionary
Concise Oxford-Spanish Dictionary
Pocket Oxford Italian Dictionary

Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary
Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Theasurus
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of Law
Merriam-Webster's Medical Desk Dictionary
Merriam-Webster's French Dictionary
Merriam-Webster's Spanish Dictionary
etc.

Thank you Sep 2, 2004

Thanks for pointing out iFinger to me. It looks like the very thing we're after; Amazon has a 3-in-1 pop-up dictionary on CD-ROM that uses this technology so I shall fill out a software request tomorrow and perhaps order one for myself for home too.
