I see that the 5th edition of the Collins German & English dictionary has recently been published. I have the 1st edition, about 20 years old. Can anybody tell me from experience if the 5th is so much better than the 1st that I should seriously consider buying it?
A slightly more difficult question: are you aware of anything significant that is in the 1st ed. but not the 5th, so that if I get the 5th, the 1st would still be worth keeping?
Thanks if you can help.

If your dictionary is about 20 years old, it's as old as Methuselah. If I were you, I'd treat myself to a new dictionary.
