I saw the question posted about a French-English technical dictionary . I am collecting dictionaries as I am sitting the Institute of Linguists exam in January, and am not able to connect to Internet for the exam, is there a site or place where second-hand bilingual dictionaries are sold, dictionaries that are no longer needed by translators for example?

It seems, however, that not many people use (or maybe know about) this feature, but it's certainly worth a try. You could also post a request in your language specific forum.
I just wanted to thank you for pointing out the Exchange area on this site, which I admit had escaped my notice. You're right though, it doesn't look like it gets used much but at least now I know it's there for future reference.
Ebay is a fantastic source of used paper and electronic dictionaries. Check out ebay.fr or ebay.co.uk and type in whatever you may be looking for. I have nearly always found what I was looking for and usually got it cheaper than I would have elsewhere. J. MacKerron
