Is there any decent FREE or low-cost software for terminology management, possibly even some that\'s compatible with Wordfast? I am still a very basic user of WF, so if the software has a term function, please do excuse the question and put me right.

Excel, Access May 14, 2002

Most Wordfasters use Excel. I am using Access myself. I am not familiar with dedicated terminology management software except Multiterm and find it less flexible than Access.

As usual in computing, the most suitable tool for you is depending on *what* exactly you want to do with your glossaries.

Any database and most spreadsheet software should be adequate, you should search for a low price or free solution suiting your needs. Changing your software should be no problem, as all the programs will import/export the tab separated text files you use for the Wordfast glossaries.

The thread is 8 years old. I'm pretty sure WF has terminology now.

I've been using WorFinder for years and wouldn't be without it -- but I seem to be on my own, nobody else on Proz confesses to using it.

Maybe Wordfinder is only a tool which people with a connection to southern Sweden find useful

I use Wordfinder mainly as a dictionary though, and keep a pile of old-fashioned specialised hardware dictionaries nearby.
