Dear everyone,

I am trying to do some work using Eurodicautom and I keep getting a "no connections available" message. What this means is that too many people are trying to use this page at once.

I therefore make this posting in request of all the Eurodicautomers to STOP using this web page. This really annoys me and I've got work to do.

Thank you.

Excuse me? Apr 19, 2005

I am sorry, but I don't seem to understand your request.
Are you suggesting the YOUR work is more important than everyone else's and therefore only you have the right to use that site? You are absolutely right, the rest of us just use Eurodicautom for fun. I really hope I misunderstood your message. If this is the case. please ignore my reply.

Maybe you're being ironic and I've misunderstood you, but it looks to me as if you've misunderstood the original message. Unless I'm very much mistaken, the post was just a humourous way of expressing his annoyance at the fact that EuroDicAutom is not working. Just trying to liven up the day for all the people doing dull technical translations.

You are totally right. It was just that my head was so full of boring financial terms, that I just didn't get the joke. Very stupid of me. I am really sorry. Have a nice day all of you.

Grand Dictionnaire Apr 19, 2005

And while we're at it, how about you Canadians and Americans having a good long lie in so the Grand Dictionnaire speeds up a bit for me. I have deadlines, you know!

Rotation system Apr 19, 2005

A rotation system seems like an excellent idea to me. I will notify you when I'm not working, so that you can have a go at it

So, Edward, please stop using Eurodic RIGHT NOW. I have a deadline, too!

Cheers,
Marianne

Drastic measure? Apr 19, 2005

I found that moving three or four times zones round the world is one effective way of overcoming this problem without resorting to strange sleep patterns.

Although admittedly moving one's worldly possessions to the other side of the Atlantic may seem a somewhat drastic solution to the problem.

Do the Australians, New Zealanders et al. have any contributions to make on this subject?
