Since this thread relates to Hindi, I'd have loved to post it under Hindi Forum, but unfortunately there exists no such forum at proz.com (quite surprisingly, some languages which are spoken by few people in comparison with Hindi, have got a separate forum). I had started a thread concerning introduction of Hindi forum a few months ago on proz.com, which received an overwhelming response and a number of people advocated and supported the idea, but the fate of the same is still undecided. The thread is available at:

Anyway, it is needless to mention that the online dictionaries and glossaries prove very helpful while translating as one may simply enter a word and get a number of alternatives to choose from whereas consulting the printed dictionaries and glossaries consumes a lot of time. I know about a number of English (monolingual)dictionaries but sometimes the need for an online English to Hindi and vice versa dictionary is badly felt. I know one such dictionary only - www.wordanywhere.com but this is of elementary level, whereas I should have a comprehensive dictionary of professional standard.

Could you suggest me the links of such dictionaries/glossaries, if these exist on the web at all?

Thanks in anticipation.
