Hi everybody,

As an adept of the blogging revolution, I am looking for language-, linguistics- or translation related weblogs to read in my spare time.

So far I managed to track down the following:

http://fabulousness.pitas.com/ (linguistics)

http://www.vincentbuck.com/weblog/ (translation and interpreting, excellent stuff)

http://www.glosses.net/ (slavic languages and linguistics)

http://morfa.blogspot.com/ (languages in Welsh)

http://radio.weblogs.com/0105068/ (language in French)

There is also

http://translationgeek.blogspot.com/

which I try to feed with translation and language news handpicked from my personal blog (looking for contributors, by the way, if you\'re interested drop me a line)

Any others you know about? I\'d be interested to hear.

Cheers

ME

TOPIC STARTER
me too Jan 31, 2010

I've recently started blogging again, in a new location

http://www.voicelink.com.br/site/blog/

The name of the blog is

Palavra de intérprete
um blog sem botão de tosse

It focuses mostly on interpreting, with some translation-related posts.

Blogs about translation Jan 31, 2010

I have been writing on About Translation (http://aboutranslation.blogspot.com) for about five years now.

It's a blog devoted to information, news and opinions on professional translation.

Interesting blog, Grayson. Jan 10, 2011

I especially liked the ‘s Pausen Zwitser entry. A very good example of what translation is and why it can take much longer than anyone would expect... All that chasing down and honing until the translator is completely satisfied that he or she has found the perfect word. Oh yes, and the fortuitous bubbling up... that just comes when it will, but is the product of years of experience, learning and reading.

The blog roll I would have if I had a translation blog... Jan 10, 2011

These are all blogs I read regularly or from time to time. There is a heavy Anglo-German bias here as my own language pair is German-English. Some have already been mentioned, but I have left them in as it can be interesting to spot that lots of people are reading particular blogs which are simply very good.

Language Log Jan 10, 2011

While not specifically about translation, Language Log is a wonderful source for information about English (and, weirdly, Singlish):
