I\'m helping a friend with a lecture he is going to give in English in an international congress which, sadly, will not have interpreters.

The paper is on Maths and we are looking for any kind of resource where we can found how the symbols and the notation used in Maths are read in English (i.e., issues such as Greek letters, subscripts, etc.).

Do you have any suggestion?? Thank you in advance.

Hopefully someone will know of a good resource and post it here. But for specific questions, you might also try using KudoZ (English-to-English).

A few weeks ago I downloaded a Mathematics encyclopedia in English and I believe it has what you need. I used a program called Kazaa. They have several e-books you can download for free. You can also try a program called Bearshare. You can get these programs at www.download.com. Hope it helps.

I hope it helps,
