Looking for advice on what to include in my bidding message.

Is this like a cover letter?

Include work history?

Short and simple letter of interest?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake bidders make is citing irrelevant experience. However impressive a credential or experience might be, a job poster won\'t care unless it has something to do with the job at hand.

Job: French, medical equipment, need TRADOS

Bad bid: Graduated with honors from London School of Economics. Published book of poetry...

Good bid: Worked as physician\'s assistant in Paris, 8 yrs. Own TRADOS 5.5. Can do 2000 words/day on an ongoing basis.
