www.infopedia.pt

Click on the Dicionários tab.

I think the monolingual Portuguese dictionary is totally free but free use of the pt/en/pt, pt/fr/pt/ and pt/de/pt dictionaries is time limited.

UOL Jul 10, 2006

Until my computer recently had a virus, I used a free Michaelis Port-Eng-Span dictionary. It was very non-technical, but had many sample sentences and was definately useful. Shame I can't remember where/how I downloaded it, but it was free and legal and had to do with the UOL website. If you come across this, or any other installable dictionary, please let me know. Thanks!
